Darksiders II Debut Trailer

THQ's Reveals a New Main Character

June 3, 2011 by

One of the best and most underrated games of 2010 was Darksiders, a game by Vigil and THQ which played like a mash-up of God of War and Zelda. Darksiders would have been a strong contender for Game of the Year in 2010 if it weren’t for so many big-budget sequels being released in the same year. Despite selling over 1 million copies, the game still flew somewhat under the radar, and it seemed like we wouldn’t see anything in terms of a sequel for awhile. Thankfully, THQ has decided to back the development of a sequel and has just officially released the first trailer that showcases a brand new character.

Unlike the first game that centered around War, Darksiders II will let players take control of another member of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Death. The game is said to take place during the same events of the apocalypse from the first game, but from a different perspective and in different areas that are twice as big as those featured in the first game. Darksiders II is set for release in 2012, hopefully the real Four Horsemen won’t make an appearance by then and we’ll be able to play it.
