Call of Duty: WWII Official Reveal Trailer

Back to Boots on the Ground

April 26, 2017 by

With sales dropping and Infinite Warfare‘s PC playerbase down 76% from Black Ops III on Steam, Activision is finally conceding in its attempt to make Call of Duty into a sci-fi series… for now.

After marketing materials were leaked earlier this week for Call of Duty: World War II, Activision announced today that Sledgehammer Games is officially putting boots back on the ground with the latest installment in the series. Following in the footsteps of Battlefield 1, Call of Duty is finally going back to its World War II roots to make fans of the series happy this November on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Activision has also teased the return of Nazi Zombies and new features to the multiplayer that include a Destiny-like lobby for players to hang out in and show off their goods. More multiplayer details are planned to be announced at E3 in a little over one month where the game will be playable on the show floor.
