Call of Duty: Black Ops II ‘Zombies’ Reveal Trailer

Treyarch is Shaking Things Up a Bit with More Zombies

September 26, 2012 by

Treyarch has been pretty tight-lipped about the upcoming second installment of their Zombies survival mode in the next Call of Duty. Now, with the game a little over a month away, they’ve finally released a trailer and some new details for everyone looking to get their zombie fix after Resident Evil 6 next month. Like the campaign, Zombies in Black Ops II will be shaking things up a bit in the Call of Duty universe and expanding upon what people loved so much from the first Black Ops.

While the Zombie’s campaign gameplay will mostly be the same to not stray too far from what made the mode so popular, “Tranzit” will involve the zombie hunters riding on a huge bus in an open world, where hunters can travel from map to map all while fighting off the droves of undead on the bus. Even more interesting is that Black Ops II will also feature a new Zombies mode that pits two teams against each other in maps full of zombies who will attack players and can be used to either team’s advantage. This was a concept I loved in the last Resident Evil and predicted would start showing up in more games due to the undead monkey wrench zombies can throw into competitive play, so it should definitely help out the multiplayer that’s beginning to get a little stale.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is set for release on November 13, 2012 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, and then a week later on Nintendo’s Wii U when it launches.
