While the media was busy the past year covering Star Wars leaks, it looks like producer/director J.J. Abrams has managed to pull off the impossible and keep a Cloverfield sequel under wraps all the way up until its debut trailer.
Paramount and Abrams surprised audiences in attendance of Michael Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi by attaching a trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane. Could it be real? Is there really going to be a sequel to Cloverfield that’s already done and set to hit theaters in only a couple months on March 11th, 2016? Looks like it!
10 Cloverfield Lane is being directed by Dan Trachtenberg and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher, Jr. Trachtenberg, who is unknown to most, was responsible for this amazing Portal-inspired fan film that we couldn’t get enough of back in 2011.
Just like Cloverfield‘s original “Some thing has found us.” tagline, “Some thing is coming” soon based on the debut trailer.
