I wasn’t even aware that there was going to be a new Underworld movie, but apparently there is, and it’s filming right now in Vancouver with a 2012 release date. The good news is that Beckinsale is back, unlike the horrible third film, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, where she was absent. The bad news, like the Rise of the Lycans, the director of the first two Underworlds, Len Wiseman, will not be a involved and instead New Dawn will be directed by Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein. Wait, who? Here’s an synopsis via WP:
After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Beckinsale) learns that she has a 14-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop bio-tech company Antigen from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.
