The Last of Us Gameplay Debut from Sony’s E3 2012 Media Briefing
After a very impressive media briefing packed with many PlayStation 3 exclusives, Sony ended their show with the one exclusive that everyone’s been dying to see more of for months. Naughty Dog has a history of mind-blowing games with their award-winning Uncharted series, and while the dogs aren’t done with Drake, they again shocked the industry by teasing their latest project half a year ago. Six long months have passed since the initial reveal, and today at Sony’s media briefing Naughty Dog finally debuted actual gameplay footage from one of this generation’s most anticipated games.
Check out the amazing gameplay footage below, which features Joel and Ellie taking part in some of the grittiest and most realistic fights against foes ever seen rendered in real-time gameplay. It truly does look just as Naughty Dog promised when they said it would be “an experience unlike anything else in the industry,” including their own Uncharted series. We’ll try to get more information this week regarding the inventory system and gameplay shown in the trailer, which Naughty Dog has already said is a completely optional part of the story and can be avoided by carefully not drawing the attention of enemies.
