PRESS RELEASE: MediaStinger Launches the First and Only Free Movie and Video Game After Credits App with News, Reviews, and Trailers on Apple’s iTunes App Store.

LOS ANGELES (May 17, 2013) — MediaStinger (www.mediastinger.com) today proudly announces the release of its free mobile app, MediaStinger, available for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

“‘Oh man! Did you see that extra scene after the credits? It was great!’ Ever heard those words in the lobby after you’d walked out before the credits finished rolling? MediaStinger helps avoid that sort of disappointment.” -Lifehacker.com

Most moviegoers leave the theater as soon as the credits pop up, but they find out later that they missed an extra scene after the credits. Since the 1960s, it’s become more and more common to discover these “stingers”: additional scenes, gags, bloopers, and bonus footage during and after the credits. Some of these popular clips reward audiences with juicy things to talk about, like hints regarding upcoming sequels (just watch almost any Marvel movie!). The hot trend even has some video games adding entire extra levels for patient players that wait out the credits.

MediaStinger is an amazing comprehensive database that allows users to easily and quickly view whether thousands of movies and video games have extras during and after the credits. Users can also find out exactly what happens during stingers, rate stingers, discover songs that play during the credits, read news and reviews, watch HD trailers, and share their thoughts with other commenters. This mobile app is absolutely free and mirrors the service that the database website has already provided to millions of the burgeoning entertainment community.

“As our database grows daily, we’ve continued to evolve as well to meet the demands of users worldwide,” says Paul Curtin, founder of MediaStinger.com. “With this new free app, which coincides with the website’s design update, it’s even easier to access credits info on the go and in the theater, something we’ve envisioned since the beginning.”
