MediaStinger Turns 8

We celebrate our 8th birthday watching the stinger during Terminator Genisys' credits.

July 5, 2015 by

We were too busy and focused on the launch of our new version of the site to celebrate our lucky 7th birthday last year… but this year, we got exactly what we were asking for when going out to celebrate at the movies: a stinger added to the end credits of the weekend’s big new release, Terminator Genisysย (and a first for the franchise). Between Terminator, Ted 2, Inside Out, Entourage, Poltergeist, Pitch Perfect 2, and Avengers: Age of Ultron — so far this summer has been great for stingers and looks to keep up the trend with Minions, Ant-Man, and Fantastic Four next.

Along with the continuing trend of stingers being added during and after the credits of movies and games, this past year also involved a lot of work on our side, including implementing a brand-new look and feel for the site that now gives mobile users a much better experience, updating the look of our iPhone app to match the site’s new design, and releasing our official Android app on the Google Play store. The MediaStinger – After Credits app on Google Play currently sits at a 4.6 out of 5 rating, and we’re also proud to be able to say that all three versions of MediaStinger are still completely free of charge as we remain committed to the original goal of helping save users time and not charging for our basic after credits information.

As always, we couldnโ€™t have made it through the last eight years without the support from our users who continue to use the site and app, openly discuss their opinions in our comment sections, and even submit information on movies and games that we havenโ€™t seen yet ourselves. Weโ€™re always looking for new members to join our team, and if youโ€™re a fan of the site, be sure to Like Us on Facebook, Follow Us on Twitter, and keep track of our adventures on Instagram… or if you really want to see us become bigger and better, shoot us an email and join our team of contributors, and help us add even more great content to our already massive database of movies, games, news, reviews, and trailers.

Every year we work harder to make the site better, so keep on the lookout for new features from our team as we look forward to the future and introduce even more of our crazy niche ideas.

Thanks again for all the love and support,
