Although bad-ass, it was a bit strange when Epic Games released the last Gears of War 3 trailer entitled “War Pigs.” The use of Black Sabbath’s rock song was too obvious of a choice and something you would hear in any action game/movie trailer (if the studio could afford the rights). Thankfully, with only three weeks left until the official launch, Epic has released what looks to be the final trailer entitled “Dust to Dust”, which goes back to the same amazing style that the Gears series has perfected.
The latest trailer shows a chilling look at the characters seamlessly transitioning between events throughout all three games with the final tagline “Brothers to the end” and a new song “Into Dust” by Mazzy Star. I got a bad feeling Carmine isn’t going to be the only one that dies in this game… but if this trailer is a sign of what’s to come, Gears of War 3 looks to easily be the best yet and the perfect end to the epic saga.
