Over the past couple years, rapper/actor Ice-T has made it known to the public that he’s a huge fan of video games. When Modern Warfare 2 came out, he went as far as posting a picture of himself on Twitter holding a copy of the game and wearing a pair of the night vision goggles that came with the limited edition version. Ice-T has also made it clear that he is a huge fan of the Gears of War series, so it was no surprise when the gangster-turned-actor was announced as one of the new voice actors for the third game in the series.
In addition to voicing the new character Griffin in Gears 3, Ice-T has also reunited with his old band Body Count, who now rap about killing Locust instead of cops. Their latest song “Gears of War” is being used to promote Horde Mode 2.0 in the trailer you can check out below, which teases some of the newest features added to the game like buildable defensive structures and Reavers. Check out our GoW3 E3 2011 article for even more details and a gameplay video of Horde 2.0 in action.
