During the Credits

About two minutes into the initial credits, which contains illustrations of characters and scenes from the film, of Thor: The Dark World, there is an extra two-minute scene. Note: The extra scene is NOT in 3D if you’re watching a 3D showing.

Spoiler
The extra scene features Thor’s companions, Sif and Volstagg, taking an Infinity Stone (the Aether) to the Collector (from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie, played by Benicio del Toro) and his assistant (played by Ophelia Lovibond). They leave it with him and comment that with the Tesseract already in Asgard, having two Infinity Stones so close together would be dangerous. The Collector agrees to keep the Stone safe, but after the two Asgardians leave, he ominously says, “One down, five to go.”

After the Credits

There is also another stinger after the credits of Thor: The Dark World. It includes two additional scenes. Note: The extra scene is NOT in 3D if you’re watching a 3D showing.

Spoiler
The first extra scene shows Jane eating cereal quietly inside. There’s a flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder close outside, prompting Jane to investigate. Thor appears on the rooftop, and she runs to kiss him. The second extra scene contains a brief comedic moment showing a frost monster from Jotunheim, accidentally transported to Earth during the final battle, continues to run amok in London.

Special thanks to Biggadeebadger and jman84 for the stinger submissions!
