During the Credits
There is an extra scene during the credits of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Spoiler
In the mid-credits scene, we see Bowser (Jack Black) delivering another rendition of his “Peaches” song from behind a piano. As the camera slowly pulls out during the performance, we see that Bowser is still suffering from the effects of the mushroom he ate during the film’s climax, causing him to be miniaturized and confined to a birdcage-like prison cell.
After the Credits
There is a stinger after the credits of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Spoiler
The post-credits scene takes us deeper into the mysterious sewer situation that initially led Mario and Luigi into the universe of the Mushroom Kingdom. As we venture deeper than ever before, we encounter a very familiar-looking egg that shakes as if it’s about to hatch Yoshi. The suspense builds until the film ultimately cuts to black for the last time.
Special thanks to Angelo Cruz, Nathan Gielis, Leigh Acton, Thomas Newman, Mykle Lee, Jose Santiago, dez911, Renfroekidz, and Stephen Gardner for the stinger submission!
