Spoiler
If Jackie chooses to escape the fake world and save Jenny then after the credits there is an extra scene that picks right up where the game ends off with Jackie still having his arm around Jenny and the option for the player to finally let go. After letting go of Jenny there is an extra scene with her saying goodbye to Jackie and apologizing for what’s about to happen. Jenny is then quickly pulled away into the air and transformed into The Angelus aka the good version of The Darkness. The Angelus explains that Jenny is still in her somewhere and that she still loves Jackie. She states that the world has lived too long without her light and that Jackie and The Darkness are now where they belong. She then flies away, trapping Jackie in the inner abyss of The Darkness. The game ends with Jackie screaming upwards in rage as The Darkness closes up.

Alternate Endings

The ending of The Darkness II allows the player to pick from two different options that greatly alter how the game ends. Check out more details and massive spoilers below.

Spoiler
At the end of the game Jackie is posed with the question to stay with Jenny at the asylum or jump off of the asylum’s roof and kill himself in order to be freed from The Darkness. If Jackie chooses to stay with the fake Jenny then he dances with Jenny to music, in the middle of the asylum, and the game ends shortly after. But if Jackie chooses to jump he exposes the fake world and frees himself. After escaping that world Jackie find himself in another hell where the apparent real Jenny is being held by The Darkness. After fighting his way through the hell and freeing Jenny he hugs her and the game ends with his arm still around her.
