Sea of Thieves was one of the hottest games at E3 last year and proved to be one of Microsoft’s biggest exclusives this year when it launched a few months ago with a total of 4 million players.
But despite some of the most beautiful water graphics of any game ever, the hype among streamers and gamers quickly died down as the open seas turned out to be a little too open and lacking of content worthy of keeping players around.
Now, at this year’s E3, Rare revealed much-needed new content coming soon in July and September with Cursed Sails and Forsaken Shores. Two updates that should help the game feel a little more alive with new challenges and NPC skeleton pirate ships just as players have been requesting for months.
