Grand Theft Auto V Release Date

Rockstar Officially Sets 'Spring 2013' Time Frame

October 30, 2012 by

It seems like every day there’s a new rumor regarding when the next Grand Theft Auto is going to be released. Gaming websites have been willing to publish anything they hear in order to get hits and fans love debating when we could finally see it with many hoping it could have been as soon as this holiday. Gaming “analyst” Michael Pachter had even himself suggested GTAV would be released on October 23rd, 2012.

Anyone who has followed Rockstar’s release patterns for their games could see that there was no way they were going to release their next game so soon after Max Payne 3, especially with so little promotion before that rumored October release. Thankfully, now all of the GTAV rumors on gaming sites and forums can finally come to an end, because after some promotional details actually leaked yesterday, Rockstar has finally officially announced when gamers will be getting their hands on the game.

Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Still no word on Nintendo’s Wii U.

And there you have it, so now everyone can stop making up rumors regarding the release date and now switch to making up rumors about the actual game itself and what we can expect to see different from GTAIV. Here’s what else Rockstar had to say from their announcement today:

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond โ€“ from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.

Starting next week November 5, 2012, Grand Theft Auto V will become available for pre-order everywhere and fans can expect a host of new information to become available in November.
