Game Details
During the Credits
The beginning of Prey‘s credits show the Typhon aliens attacking the residents of Talos 1.
After the Credits
There are different endings shown after the credits of Prey depending on the choices the player makes during the game’s campaign.
It’s revealed after the credits that the events of the game are actually part of a simulation that has been running inside the mind of a Typhon programmed by Alex Yu to think like Morgan Yu. Unlike what happens in the simulation, the Typhon have already invaded Earth and Alex is now working on a project to stop. Alex’s new concept involves injecting human traits into Typhon after their neuromod project failed and led to the hostile alien attack.
If the player escapes Talos 1, then Alex can be heard saying “This isn’t the one.” as the Typhon’s life supply if cut off and the scene fades to black.
If the player decides to stop the Typhon or blow up Talos 1, then the characters which are saved by Morgan throughout the campaign are revealed to actually be Operators who are working with Alex. The Operators judge Morgan by making comments about the decisions the player made as Morgan when deciding to save their lives in the simulation.
The player is then given the option to shake hands with Alex and help him fight back against the Typhon or kill everyone.
