Whether you grew up watching Power Rangers, Godzilla, or more recently enjoyed Cloverfield, it doesn’t matter, because Guillermo del Toro’s latest features giant manmade robots fighting giant monsters, and that’s all you should ever want in a movie.
A little bit of footage was shown to fans at Comic-Con back in June, but now the official trailer is online, giving everyone who didn’t make it out to San Diego five months ago a first look at what exactly what to expect in one of next summer’s biggest action movies.
Pacific Rim is set for release in 3D on July 12, 2013, and stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Rob Kazinsky, Max Martini, and Ron Perlman. The latest trailer even features the voice-over work of Ellen McLain, aka everyone’s favorite evil robot GLaDOS from the Portal video game series — what’s not to love?
