MovieStinger Passes 1,000,000 Pageviews!

This year is already off to a great start! We’ve been recording our site’s stats via analytics for the past couple years and as of today, MovieStinger has passed the one millionth pageview mark (1,001,657 to be exact at the moment). Obviously, this is a big day for us, but we’d like to thank all our fans who have visited the site over the past few years and contributed to us reaching 1,000,000. Please keep checking back and spreading the word, we could always use more fans and followers on our Facebook and Twitter sites to help us add some more zeroes to the end of our current numbers.

I love this site and what it offers and regularly come here before my visit to the cinema to see if it’s worth waiting around at the end of the films!
My only gripe is the often slow loading of the site and it’s pages…clearly it’s not hosted on a particularly fast server….this leaves me frustrated at times and may deter people from returning.
If this issue can be fixed, the site will be almost faultless…

Appreciate the honest feedback John, I’ve actually been very busy with other work, but have noticed the site running slow for the past couple months. I just contacted our hosting provider last weekend about the slowness and they found a problem with their servers that they have since fixed. The site should be running a lot faster now, not sure if you’ve noticed. If the site continues to load slower than other sites you visit, let us know and I’ll look into it again.

  Unfortunately, we’re still having issues with our hosting provider. Right now we’re on shared hosting, so when other sites on our server get high traffic it slows our site down too. We tried updating to a dedicated server last week but weren’t told until the site was down that we would need to pay an extra couple hundred dollars a month for someone to manage our server and keep it up to date. so this is the best hosting we can afford right now, hopefully in the near future we’ll be able to find a way to get on dedicated servers and eliminate the slow loading issue.
