During the Credits

Similar to the extra scenes in the credits of the original Despicable Me, the first three minutes of the credits of Despicable Me 2 include extra scenes that take advantage of the 3D format. The extra scenes feature minions participating in a variety of different antics in front of a sign that reads “The Minion Movie Casting”, a reference to the upcoming Minions spin-off.

After the Credits

There are no extras after the credits of Despicable Me 2.

During the initial credits, the minions cut though the credits to hold the ‘Minion Movie Auditions’ (lead on to the spin-off). With a variety of 3D effects, the minions try to hold a musical tune and perform different antics to try keep the frame up, which keeps collapsing to show the individual credits. The minions eventually fall out of the frame while the last one jumps on after them and the credits scroll. Nothing after.

Does anybody know how long the credits are to Despicable Me 2?
If so, can any of you please tell me how long they are?

    • Not sure but the Minion Movie Auditions stinger is 2 minutes and 42 seconds.

      • Thanks, Jenna! User updates are always welcome here. ๐Ÿ™‚

We have the total length of the credits clocked in at right around 7 minutes.

Dam!!. Pipped at the post. Will be seeing it on Sunday. Good film though? Better than the first?

  • aaron r wills

  • Brian D.

Thanks aaron r willis!! I’ll keep that in mind when I see it!!
Hopefully I can be able to see it during the July 4th weekend!!!!

I saw it in 3D and it was very entertaining and really took advantage of the 3D. Was there a different version for 2D showings? If not it would be pretty lame in 2D. I recommend seeing it in 3D.

I saw this film in 2D TWICE and I thought it wasan excellent movie!! It’s expensive to pay for the extra cost of seeing the film in the 3D!! So take your kids to see this weekend if they haven’t seen it already!! I promise the adults MIGHT like it just as much as the kids will!! It’s funny…honestly, it’s actually hilarious, heart-warming, fun, cute!! Yes I am a teenager and who thinks this movie is cute!!!
Honestly, with those hilarious yellow minionsa , a sweet love story, a cool side story about what it is like being a nice good guy instead of being a mean bad guy, and the heart-warming side story ofGru becoming a dad and taking great gentle care ofhis “three little girls–Margois fine, but I really like Edith and Agnes more because as long as Edith is a part of Gru’s adventure somehow, she’s cool with her dad, Gru, being both a dad and a spy!! Trust me, Edith isone funny character!! Although I actually like Agnes too because she’s got a lot more to say in this movie and what she says is really funny, cute, and will absolutely warm your heart and have the adults say Awww…That was cute!!” because, honestly, that’s what I did!!
And still around during the credits as you’ll be seeing some brief clips of the minions doing some hilarious antics!!!
If you have any kids, your kids are sure likely to love this movie and they will beg you to buy for them when it releases in stores on DVD and Blu-Ray sometime soon before the end of the year–hopefully by the Holiday Season!!
As for any adult who does or doesn’t have any kids and are available and aren’t busy for 2 – 2/12 hours…please go do yourself a favor and go see
    Despicable Me 2

Exactly how long are the credtis to Despciable Me 2?!?
For example, the runtime for RED 2 is 1hr. 56 minutes(116minutes) inlcuding the credits and the credits runing time is exactly 8 minutes and 30 seconds!
So RED 2 is exactly and specifically 1hr.47minutes and 7seconds(107.7) without the credits!!

So if Despicable Me 2 is 98 minutes including the credits and the credits running time is ACTUALLY 8 minutes and NOT 7 minutes, then how long is the credits runtime?!?! Here is one more example if you still do not understand:

Another example is that Wreck-It Ralph is 1hr. 41 minutes and 13 (1:41:13) and the credits running time to Wreck-It Ralph are 8 minutes amd 8 seconds(8:08)!! So Wreck-It Ralph is 1hr.33minutes and 5seconds(93.05) long without the credits!!

So when I saw this movie the first in the theatre it was 1hr. 31minutes long, just like MediaStinger had said since the credits were 7 minutes long!! That is not true because when I saw the film again a second time it was actually 1hr.30minutes long meaning the credits to the film are actually 8 minutes long!!!

If someone can please tell me the exact running time and the exact Credits RunTime for Despicable Me 2 shown in the same format as Wreck-It Ralph is shown–by showing the exact minutes and seconds of the runtime and
Credits Running Time–that would be great!! I really understand that it’s kind of complicated and a lot ask for, but if someone can please do this for me once they see Despicable Me 2 or if you immediately know all this information, please add it to the Running Time and Credits Running Time section(s) as soon as you can!!
