Crysis 2 World Premiere Teaser

Full High-Def Version Leaks Out

April 7, 2010 by

Last night in Times Square a teaser trailer was shown for Crysis 2, the sequel to the 2007 science fiction first-person shooter PC game developed by Crytek. The teaser trailer doesn’t show much, but then again it’s a teaser.

What the trailer does show is pretty impressive, it gives me chills just thinking about how amazing the sequel will look with the first game still having better graphics than any other video game on the market today.

It’s interesting to note that the original Crysis was only released for PC and even current top of the line computers still cannot run Crysis on its maximum settings. Crysis 2 is set for release on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. There is still no word on how much of a difference there will be between the PC and console versions, but I’m sure the PC version will be far superior on max settings.

There’s also text at the end of the trailer that says www.sosnewyork.com which leads to a Crysis 2 Countdown website with a countdown ending this Friday morning.

4/9/2010 Update: The SOS New York website is now live with an extended HD trailer, check it out below.
