During the Credits

There are no extra scenes during the credits of Up in the Air. but midway through the credits there is a song played by Kevin Renick who wrote the song for Up in the Air two years earlier when finding out that Jason Reitman was working on a film adaptation of the book. Renick was an unrecorded and unemployed St. Louis musician at the time he handed his cassette to Reitman. After listening to the cassette, Reitman liked the song so much that he placed it in the credits.
