Looks like it’s a big week for franchise comeback announcements. Today Bethesda Softworks officially announced Prey 2, and now Hi-Rez Studios has released the first announcement trailer for Tribes: Ascend. For those that don’t know, the Tribes series was one of the original science fiction first-person shooter computer games that featured innovative use of aerial gameplay mechanics via the jet pack that you now see games like Halo and Killzone finally implementing into their gameplay.
The announcement trailer is a pretty much just a teaser and little details are known about Tribes: Ascend besides that it is set for release on PC and Xbox 360 sometime in 2011. Check out the HD trailer below.
