Transformers: Dark of the Moon Theatrical Trailer in 1080P HD

Posted by on April 28, 2011

It’s been a while since we’ve seen any new videos for the upcoming third Transformers movie, almost 3 months to be exact, and with the film set for release in 2 months (July 1, 2011), it’s time to start getting hyped. Director Michael Bay usually gets a lot of grief for his film-making techniques, but like him or not, the man knows how to shoot a damn good action scene. And this latest trailer proves just that with nothing but crazy action sequences that look to set a new standard is visual effects.

It even looks like Bay has listened to criticism of his work with the action scenes in the trailer actually using far less quick cuts which Bay is known for doing too much of. Check out the 720p and 1080p versions of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer below.

God, as good as the trailer looks, I just don’t want to fall for Michael Bay’s tricks (Transformers 2) again. Sadly I’ll probably end up seeing this thing.

    *sigh*

The first Transformers film was one of my favorite action films of all time, but the second was garbage. I think it’s a good sign that even Michael Bay and Shia Labeouf admitted in interviews that they too didn’t like how the second film turned out. And from the looks of this trailer, this is going to be the movie to beat this summer.

I’m also lovin the song played during the trailer, sounds like a mashup from Hans Zimmer and Linkin Park with the old Linkin Park tone and not the new crap they put out nowadays. Can’t find the name of it anywhere though…

The soundtrack to the trailer is intense, I’m guessing this is going to be the main track to the movie. Steve Jablonsky has done a great job on the last two scores, I have them both!

As far as the second one goes Bay wasn’t too happy with the script, and that was the weakest part of the movie: “We made some mistakes,” Bay told the magazine. “The real fault with ["Transformers 2"] is that it ran into a mystical world. When I look back at it, that was crap. The writers’ strike was coming hard and fast. It was just terrible to do a movie where you’ve got to have a story in three weeks.”

They had more than 8 months to work on TF3 script. I hope the bring the movie to a great end. The trailer looks out of this world. I hope the 3D is going to do Optimus and the rest of the gang justice.

I’ll be at the IMAX 3D midnight showing for this one!
