Trailer looks great. Should be second best film of the year. Skyfall of course being number one.

I wasn’t feeling the first Skyfall trailer, but the IMAX preview looked amazing. Still… doubt it will be as amazing as Rises.

Nothing during or after- it is truly an exhilarating end to the trilogy bearing no purpose for a credit stinger!

there is actually as we realize that Officer Blake’s real name is Robin, he finds the bat cave, the batsignal is fixed up and Alfred see’s Bruce with Selena aka Catwoman so there most likely will be a second series probably focusing more on Robins introduction into the series

No, this happened before the credits and simply shows that the universe, nolan built-up, wont loose its batman. Nolan wont return to make another movie and so the next batman will be a reboot and introduction for the JLA movie. At least thats the current plan from the studio…

Very good filme. Another Nolan’s hit

  • Beat-toven

    I. Love. Batman. Thank you Christopher Nolan.

  • Xen11

If you stick around during the credits, you can hear the sound of grown men crying.

    • http://MediaStinger.com/ Paul Curtin

Haha I had to fight back a couple creepers, especially towards the end.

    • IceBeam

      So who died?

      • Xen11

Did you watch the film yet? Is that why you’re asking?

The best trilogy of all time? Quite possibly… But definitely not the best of the three by far. Rises was amazing, but it just wasn’t good enough to get out of the shadow that The Dark Knight created. Tom Hardy is a great actor and I was all for him being Bane and breaking Batman, but the whole voice thing is still something I can’t believe Nolan thought was a good idea (at least he cut the terrible shot of the prisoners that was in the trailer). I didn’t see the original plane scene before MI4 (the bank scene was so much better), but compared to the first trailer, his voice was still hard to understand half the time, even in IMAX. The other half of the time when you could actually understand what he was saying, he just sounded goofy and the audio seemed weird and didn’t match other characters talking in scenes since you couldn’t see his mouth moving and they edited it. It probably wasn’t the best idea to completely leave any mention of The Joker out of the film and try to fill the massive void Ledger left with a giant incomprehensible villain, but like you said, maybe that was Nolan’s plan — make Bane sound even worse than Bale’s Batman voice to take the attention away from that now that Ledger isn’t around to steal the show.

    **spoilers**

If it wasn’t for the epic ending that only Nolan could pull off I feel like it might have been about equal to Batman Begins. Anne Hathaway was great, not sure why there was so much hate with her original casting, glad she nailed the role, but her fighting along with Batman and Bane’s was a little weak. The Talia al Ghul twist could be seen coming from a mile away, especially since a lot of sites reported that Marion Cotillard would be playing the character like a year ago. But I only know who Talia is from playing the Arkham games, so people not familiar with the comics or games probably got a nice twist there. It was perfect how Nolan setup JGL to be Robin but then you realize Nolan is done with the Batman series so the setup was kind of bittersweet. Plus, it’s a crime that he became Robin and wasn’t used as either The Riddler or even The Joker. It’s probably best that they didn’t have him try to take over Ledger’s Joker role, but the two look identical and he would have been the one actor who could have pulled it off.

I’d agree 5/5, but it doesn’t rise above the greatest 5/5 ever, The Dark Knight.

I have no problems with how this ended, but I wonder how people would have felt had Nolan put the last scene during or after the credits? There’d be a LOT of discussion, that’s for sure. haha

    • http://MediaStinger.com/ Paul Curtin

Yeah those scenes would have made for no question the best stingers of all time. But I think Nolan hates stingers as much as 3D.

As a stinger I really wished Nolan would have put the top from Inception toppling over or continue spinning just for the pure hell of it. Talk about blow your mind if that happened. People would have wondered if this was the real end of Inception or if this whole Dark Knight Rises was just us being incepted. :P

But yeah, I was definitely Prestige’d by Nolan in this film.

I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear or two during the ending. Who knew a great comic book movie could also be quite moving. The trouble is now how does Christopher Nolan top the Dark Knight movies. Surely his genius has peaked! What if he was to do Bond or maybe even Bourne?

    • Gus

Ever seen Inception? Ever tried to understand it? It’s a cyclical referencing film which took Nolan 9 years to write. A MUCH better effort than The Dark Knight movies! Jeez, even The Prestiege had a deeper plot. Nolan will keep making top movies! How can you even question this???

Ledger did indeed play a great roll, but his death pushed it a bit farther. Bale, by far..has been an amazing Batman, aside from voice decisions a few times “made by Nolan” he owned the role, in all three movies. Im tired of him not getting credit. I go to Batman movies to see BATMAN. AN d he delivered everytime. Thank You Mr. Bale, I enjoyed every minute of you and your craft.

    • OTL

You should also thank DC Comics. Without the creation of these heroes by Marvel/DC we would never have had movies of them.

  • JJJJ

Why don’t people get that Batman’s voice is all weird because he’s trying to cover up his identity? Can’t people understand that that’s the whole point? Do you think Bale and Nolan would do that for no reason at all?
Rises was awesome. Maybe the best of the three. It’s different, and it should be. If Nolan tried to outdo TDK in the same style it’d be pointless. Stop critiquin and just enjoy the show!!!

I was hoping Superman comes in and invites Batman to join the JL!

Although there isn’t an after credits, there is a disclaimer around the final seconds of the end credits, stating that THIS MOTION PICTURE WAS SHOT AND FINISHED ON FILM

Lol did anyone notice Tealc from stargate, when Blake knocks him out. It’s weird seeing him without a golden plated tattoo on his forehead.
