2019 is shaping up to be a big year for the original creators of Titanfall at Respawn Entertainment.
After dropped Apex Legends out of nowhere to challenge Fortnite at the start of the year, now the studio will be ending the year with their highly anticipated new Star Wars game.
At this weekend’s Chicago Star Wars Celebration event, Respawn and EA finally revealed a first look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And to the surprise of many, Respawn has said that the game will be singleplayer-only and not have microtransactions.
While no gameplay was revealed over the weekend — Respawn has also revealed the game to be melee-based with players controlling a Jedi Padawan named Cal Kestis who survives Order 66 (which killed most of the Jedi during the events that took place during the film, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith). More details and gameplay will likely be shown at E3 2019 during EA Play in two months.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to launch on November 15, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
