Shortly after the credits start, Zachariah calls Marty, who apparently failed to deliver on the promise he had made to Zachariah earlier in the film. Consequently, Zachariah tells Marty that he’s going to kill him on Tuesday. Marty responds that that works for him as he’s not doing anything. Zachariah says that Marty sounds different, then Zachariah decides that Tuesday doesn’t work for him after all and asks Marty if he can get back to him. He hangs up the pay phone and walks away down the street.
