Noah Trailer

We're Going to Need a Much, Much Bigger Boat

November 17, 2013 by

Oh, come on now. The apocalypse has already been cancelledโ€ฆor has it? Say what you will about the world ending in 2012 cause we all know the Mayans made a fool of themselves last year, and it turns out that weโ€™re still here one year later alive and kicking in 2013. Okay, well that was my take when I saw the tagline to the upcoming epic Noah from critically acclaim director Darren Aronofsky despite the controversy surrounding the Biblical theme in the film that might piss off religious audiences in addition to the argument between Paramount and Aronofsky over the final cut.

Russell Crowe leads the pack, and it turns out that according to what he saw in his vision, God wonโ€™t play nice when he brings a big threat that will perish the earth. So what do Noah and his family do when everybody refuses to believe the world is ending? Build a huge ark for yourself, and bring in a horde of animals. It may not look like a sequel to Aronofskyโ€™s film The Fountain, but it might as well end up with fellow Biblical epics Ben-Hur and The Ten Commandments.

Noah will bring his ark to the big screen March 28, 2014.
