Scene: Alvin is shown at the restaurant with his new girlfriend, Lucy; as they wait for Adam, she discovers that Alvin hasn’t told his son that they’re dating yet. Scene: Patrice, who is now with Eli, introduces her to his dads, who are both holding single balloons; they all hug. Scene: Vanessa hesitantly enters an elevator with an old man, then she tries to leave when it becomes crowded with more elderly people. Scene: Emma and Adam spontaneously share a passionate kiss in the park before Adam abruptly walks away. Scene: At the same park, Sam tells Shira that they should break up, but Shira tells him that she’s been a bad girl. Scene: Katie is shown in the delivery room giving birth, her husband comes in to give her ice chips, she curses him, and he says, “I love you.” Scene: Emma’s gay roommate is shown leading Sam into a room at the hospital.
