For most guys (and even some girls), it doesn’t get much better than a good action flick. With games becoming more and more like movies with the use of beautifully constructed cutscenes merged with gameplay, it’s easy to see why video games are selling millions of copies and giving big-budget films a run for their money. While this year was jam-packed with amazing high-octane action games full of adventures, there was one that perfectly embodies the action/adventure genre. By using virtually no load times between cutscenes and gameplay, and sometimes even leaving the player questioning which of the two was happening, Uncharted 3 blew us away as usual. Naughty Dog seemed to pull out all the same tricks as the second game but managed to somehow do everything bigger and better than the last. Winner: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
