Yippee ki yay,
motherf@#$ers mofos! John McClane will be back for a fifth Die Hard movie. Starring Bruce Willis in the leading role that made him an action blockbuster star, A Good Day to Die Hard sees Willis travel back in time, where his younger self awaits. Just kidding. The teaser, which you can check out below, doesn’t reveal anything beyond what I’ve already said, aside for lots and lots of explosions.
But some good ol’ Googling uncovers a bit more info: A Good Day to Die Hard introduces McClane’s son (the previous sequel intro’ed his daughter), sets them in Russia, and pits them against terrorists. The movie will be directed by John Moore, and coincidentally this Die Hard will actually be Moore’s fifth feature film as well. Let’s take a look at his track record: Behind Enemy Lines (like), Flight of the Phoenix (yawn), The Omen (like), and Max Payne (POS). Thus, by the law of patterns and the short one-minute teaser, A Good Day to Die Hard should be good, even if it’s PG-13 like its predecessor.
A Good Day to Die Hard opens this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013.
Hat tip to turtle.
