Need for Speed: Rivals at E3

EA is Bringing the Speed Back to the Series

June 10, 2013 by

As a big fan of beautiful racing games that actually let you race fast cars at top speeds, I was really disappointed last year at E3 when I got my hands on Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The game looked better than Need for the Speed: The Run, but it lacked the fun of real racing and unrealistically pushing supercars to their limit.

Thankfully, it doesn’t look like I’ll need to worry about the same problem in the next NFS because the silly objectives are gone, and the more open roads and full-speed racing look to be back.

Need for Speed: Rivals looks to be everything you could want in a pursuit racing game and even boasts some new features in an effort to go with the new trend of blurring the lines between singleplayer and multiplayer gaming by letting players instantly jump in and out of one another’s games.

Check out the visually stunning adrenaline-packed first look at gameplay below. Need for Speed: Rivals is set for release on November 19, 2013, for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
