Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Revealed

Game Informer Cover Features Optimus and Dinobots

October 8, 2011 by

Good news today for fans of the Transformers game series. High Moon Studios has announced via the cover of Game Informer that Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is in production and will continue the story of the Autobots and the Decepticons and their bitter civil war. Fall of Cybertron is said to be a natural successor rather than a true sequel to War for Cybertron and will improve upon many of the fundamental ideas from previous games.

The last Transformers game “Dark of the Moon” that was tied-in with the release of the movie in theaters was clearly rushed through production and nowhere near as good as War for Cybertron. If you read my review, you could see that obviously I wasn’t a fan.

But I’ve got high hopes for High Moon’s latest now that they don’t have to meet a shorter production deadline to coincide with a summer blockbuster movie release. Plus the latest images tease the debut of Grimlock in the gaming series and how can you not get excited for a freakin’ mechanical Tyrannosaurus rex and them also teasing Bumblebee’s death?
