The Witcher 3’s Epic E3 2014 Trailer Released Early

CDProjektRed Confirms Launch Date, Trailer Uses 99% In-Game Footage

June 5, 2014 by

At a press event held in Venice Beach, CA and also streamed online earlier today, CDProjektRed and GOG.com revealed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on February 24, 2015. Huge news considering that the game was recently delayed into 2015 and now we have an official date to expect when the wild hunt will begin.

In addition to showing off all the bonus physical items you’ll get with both the Standard and Collector’s Edition, they also announced a new Witcher card game on PC and showed off a stunning Witcher 3 pre-E3 trailer. In the trailer, you can see old and new characters like Yennefer, witchers, monsters, and a glimpse of Geralt’s visit to Nilfgaard along with other breathtaking landscapes and action.

When talking to members of the CDPR team at the event, we were told that aside from the very end of the trailer, all of the footage shown was in-game, and not CGI… a sign of great things to come from both companies who look to be delivering on their promises of DRM-free games and visually-stunning gaming experiences.
