The Last of Us: Remastered on PlayStation 4

Sony Officially Announces New Version Coming This Summer

April 10, 2014 by

It’s been rumored for some time, but after the most recent slip-up on the PlayStation network a few days ago, Sony has finally broken their silence and made it official. The Last of Us: Remastered is coming to the PlayStation 4 this summer.

The developers behind the award-winning hit, Naughty Dog, have stated that they’ve been tackling the PS4 version ever since finishing the game on PS3. This includes working on 1080p, pushing the draw distances further, creating higher resolution character models, and improving the lighting and shadows.

The Last of Us: Remastered will be available in physical and digital formats for $60 and will include all of the DLC along with the option to listen to director’s commentaries during all cutscenes. Hopefully, Sony will give some sort of price break to fans who have already bought everything on PlayStation 3 and are saving that announcement for E3. Either way, great news for anyone who owns a PS4 and for anyone who loved the first game and wants to see the game not held back by old tech.
