“Mists of Pandaria” Trailer — Kung Fu Panda Joins the “World of Warcraft”
Although its numbers are starting to drop and some fans are outraged over the use of pandas as a new playable race, Blizzard is pushing ahead and releasing the fourth expansion pack for World of Warcraft just one month before the MMO juggernaut’s eighth birthday. Despite its aging graphics and repetitive carrot-on-a-stick formula, there’ just something about the game that keeps players around and always coming back for more, and those who are still playing or looking for an excuse to go back will be happy to know that they’ll be able to get their new Warcrack fix on September 25, 2012.
Mists of Pandaria will raise the current level cap from level 85 to 90 and introduce a new character class, the Monk, along with a new playable race, the Pandaren from previous Warcraft games and lore. The expansion will also introduce a new pet battle system, new PVE scenarios, new Challenge Modes for dungeons, and a new system of tiered talents that are awarded every 15 levels which will replace the existing 41-point talent trees. Blizzard has also stated that there are plans for nine new dungeons, three new raids, and four new battlegrounds.
As usual, Blizzard has released a stunning CGI trailer to get players hyped for the game they’re planning to release that looks nothing like the trailer, so make sure to check out the trailer and official description of the expansion from Gamescom 2012 below:
You’ve ended Deathwing’s destructive rampage and saved the dragonflights from extinction. Now you must unlock the mysteries of the lost continent and discover the dark secrets of Pandaria’s past.
