Medal of Honor: Warfighter Gameplay Trailer

Armed With Frostbite 2 Engine

April 12, 2012 by

In what’s likely to be a rematch between EA’s Medal of Honor and Activision’s Black Ops franchises, EA’s still the only one who’s entered the ring after releasing the intriguing announcement teaser to Medal of Honor: Warfighter last month. And damn, it looks good.

That’s probably because Warfighter will be armed with developer DICE’s Frostbine 2 engine, the same one that made Battlefield 3 the visual victor over Modern Warfare 3 last year and ultimately being honored as our pick for Best Looking Game of 2011.

Looks won’t be the only thing Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be equipped with. According to the developers, the gritty FPS will also include a deep narrative that will expose gamers to the intrasquad and domestic drama that’s often a part of life in elite units.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is set for release on October 23, 2012, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. If you pre-order the game, you’ll be rewarded with a 40-hour tactical headstart with the U.S. Navy Seal Sniper, whatever that means.

We know you can sell ’em like crack-sprinkled hotcakes, and you’ll probably break your own records again this November, but after watching that trailer… whatchu got, Call of Duty?
