The future of a New 52 animated universe is teased in an extra scene after the credits of Justice League: War.

The extra scene shows a shot of the ocean after an attack on Earth by the forces of Apokolips. Dead fish and other sealife can be seen in the water until waves start to form in the ocean. A vessel then rises from the waves with what looks like the helmet of Orm, Ocean Master (Aquaman’s brother). With a dead old man in his arms, Orm says, “The Surface Dwellers have killed our king. This is an act of war. And they will pay.”
