Rockstar Reveals New Multiplayer Modes in Latest Trailer

August 15, 2013 by

Teased last month, the reveal for the new Grand Theft Auto Online is finally here to make the next month go by even slower for fans of Rockstar.

As you would expect from Rockstar, the team has made vast improvements to the games multiplayer that will now allow up to 16 players to play together in an open world and take on missions either together or against each other.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, you’ll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V.

Aside from the expanded amount of players in the new GTA Online, one of the most interesting features announced is a map editor that will allow players to create their own competition multiplayer maps — a first for the GTA series.

Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is set for release in one month on 9/17/2013.
