After Sony teased gamers all week by posting a mysterious image on the official PlayStation website and Facebook page asking “Will vengeance bring redemption?,” many were left wondering if it could be for the inevitable God of War 4. Last time there was a God of War teaser most were let down with the announcement that it would be a PSP game. Thankfully, this time the tease wasn’t dragged out anywhere near as long and is redeeming the previous underwhelming reveal.
Today, fans of the epic series will be happy to know that they were right as it turns out the teaser was in fact for Kratos’ comeback, and we will be getting yet another God of War. However, while Kratos is back, the latest PlayStation 3 exclusive God of War: Ascension will be taking place before the events of the first God of War and most likely also before Chains of Olympus. Sony must have a pretty big surprise for E3 if they’re already dropping this announcement two months before the expo… Check out the official teaser trailer below.
