If you thought Kratos being added exclusively to the PlayStation 3 version of the latest Mortal Kombat game was a bit strange, then you’re probably not going to be happy with today’s news. Seems like NetherRealm Studios has decided to just start throwing random iconic characters into Mortal Kombat 9, which makes sense since it will help diversify the roster that’s made up mostly of women and robots that look almost identical except for minor changes in the colors of their outfits. Krueger has so much potential in terms of fatalities based off the crazy ways he kills people in his movies, yet everything shown in the trailer seems dull in comparison. And somebody should let NetherRealm know that Freddy only wears one blade glove, not two… he’s not Wolverine. Freddy will be available for $4.99 on August 9 for all platforms.
