Final Destination 5 Trailer: Eye-popping Deaths Return

July 11, 2011 by

The second trailer for Final Destination 5 has been released recently, and it turned out to be the most memorable one I saw before Horrible Bosses. I’ll confess that there’s some considerable bias here (being a fan of the series… yeah, I’m a whore), but I’ll admit that the last two sequels were nowhere near the first two and were just a collection of intricate and gruesome deaths with the same flimsy plot in between. However, I am a bit more excited for this fifth installment of teenagers fruitlessly trying to cheat death for a couple of reasons.

The first is the opening disaster/dream sequence. Damn, it looks spectacular… along the lines of Final Destination 2‘s epic highway carnage and way more thrilling than Final Destination 3‘s juvenile rollercoaster accident and The Final Destination‘s NASCAR crash. Secondly, the new sequel, like the fourth movie, has been shot in 3D; this franchise was made for Captain EO moments! Unlike the previous sequel though is the return to numbers in the title, which I like better anyway. As for the reveal of the new rule of possibly murdering somebody else to prevent your own ill fate, whatever… just show me some effed up shiz.
