During the Credits

At the start of the credits of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Cyrillic words are shown with the English words ‘Now stand for National anthem’ over them. The fake Kazakhstan National anthem plays during the credits as footage of Kazakhstan is shown. The footage is actually taken from Soviet-era Estonian TV commercials. The man shown at the end of the song as the president of Kazakhstan is actually Ilham Aliyev, president of Azerbaijan. The entire credits are done in Cyrillic with English subtitles over them. At the very end of the credits there is an extra that says, “KAZAKH BOARD OF FILM CENSORS: This film is unsuitable for children under the age of 3.”
