Assassin’s Creed: Unity Trailer

Ubisoft Reveals the First Next-Gen Sneak Peek

March 21, 2014 by

Get ready gamers and haters, the assassin’s are coming! Yep, Ubisoft has just made it official that they will be releasing not one, but two, brand new Assassin’s Creed games this fall.

But before everyone gets up in arms about two games instead of the usual one (that’s already one too many each year), it has been revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Unity will only be on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The other unannounced AC game will also be released this fall, but will only be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

In typical Ubisoft fashion, they’ve released a jaw-dropping teaser trailer of what they’re saying is “Alpha” gameplay. With how much Watch Dog‘s visuals have decreased from trailer to trailer after the epic E3 2011 reveal, it’s understandable to take this “Alpha” footage with a grain of salt.

But unlike Watch Dogs, being only on next-gen will not hold the game back in the visual department — which is said to have been in development for over three years. If that’s the case, and this trailer really is only Alpha footage, then Unity is a good reason to start getting hyped for the franchise again.
