The first teaser trailer for Skyfall, one of our most anticipated movies of 2012, was revealed today, but not much remains known about the secretive plot. Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Jarhead), the 23rd official installment to the longest running cinematic franchise of all time features Daniel Craig back as iconic MI6 spy James Bond after last starring in our pick for Movie of the Year 2011, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo remake.

Academy Award winner Judi Dench returns as M, and she’s joined by series newcomers Academy Award winner Javier Bardem and Academy Award nominees Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney. Skyfall is set for a release on October 26 in the UK and on November 9 in the US. Until then, you can check out the teaser trailer below.
